Sure, you could always go dressed as a sexy kitten. But why settle for the lowest common denominator when there are so many creative possibilities to explore? In honor of National Cat Day (seriously—it’s today), we put our heads together to come up with six different ways to rock a cat costume…

Whether you’re new to podcasts and are overwhelmed and don’t know where to start, or you find yourself in a rut listening to the same old shows, Podcast Thing is a fun resource, and definitely a Cool Thing.
Now that the dust has settled and life is in order here in my new digs in NYC, this blog will be returning to the usual content, in addition to the funny or interesting reblogs and a few Instagram shots.
Look for short written pieces, product reviews, audio interviews, and posts about storytelling & sound in the coming weeks.
While you’re here, feel free to check out my new home page. It’s a nice, fresh, minimal theme featuring tabs that will link you to my other blogs and projects.
I was talking to a journalist from a National outlet the other day who was delighted to learn I was from New Orleans. She then went on to talk about a story she is working on about something going on there. The problem, she said, is that it’s so difficult to get people to answer phone calls and emails. One of her interview subjects felt the need to inform her that people from New Orleans operate on their own timeline and that’s just how it is. I knew it was never just me dealing with this frustration, and it felt good to have that validation, but it’s also embarrassing.
No one thinks it’s cute.
I’m glad to be away from that and I’m looking forward to reprogramming some of those bad habits I had to adapt to. And if I can do it, anyone from home can, too.
